TMJ ( temporo-mandibular joint) Disorder

How we can help eliminate pain?

Common symptoms of TMJ.

First, a comprehensive examination of your temporo-mandibular joint capsule will accurately determine the position of the TMJ condyles and liquid discs. Then we can safely and accurately manipulate the TMJ into its correct position. This allows the discs to naturally migrate to their proper position. The liquid discs have many nerve endings which are very sensitive to pressure due to misalignment. Proper realignment allows the disc inflammation to subside, and the tissues to regain their normal resilience and elasticity. Extensive research and specialized equipment aid in the process of successful realignment of your TMJ, which in turn allows healing of pinched or damaged nerves, muscles, and bilaminar discs. Working in combination with your dentist, and the use of ultrasound, we can assist in reconditioning the muscle tissue, the joint capsule, and the bilaminar discs of the temporo-mandibular joint. Imagine being free of the pain and discomfort caused by TMJ.

Call today, for an appointment to discuss the possibilities of realigning your temporo-mandibular joints to their natural positions and regaining a pain free life.

What causes TMJ problems?

TMJ problems are most commonly caused by an injury to your jaw, neck or head. The temporomandibular joint is a complex network of joints, discs, nerves, muscles, ligaments, and bones. Not properly addressing all of these aspects may not allow you to achieve the highest possible functions of your temporomandibular joint. The illustration below shows proper and malpositioned temporomandibular discs, and the muscles that must be treated to effectively bring the TMJs to normal positions and functions.
