| West Nile Virus success story | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Dr. Farinelli heard of a person who was diagnosed with acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) due to an infection from the West Nile Virus. The patient had loss the use of his arms, hands and fingers. After being hospitalized for over two months with a rigorous program of physical therapy rehabilitation, the patient was released with a poor prognosis for ever regaining the full use of his arms and hands. Dr. Farinelli believed that this man would be a good candidate for the Nerve Stimulation therapy. Dr. Farinelli had recently begun treating patients, who suffered from chronic pain, Fibromyalgia and TMJ disorders with a new technology of Nerve Stimulation therapy. Due to the very successful results he was seeing with these patients, Dr Farinelli arranged a trial treatment program with the West Nile Virus patient. After the 5 visits the patient began showing minor improvements. After approx 12 sessions his recovery became substantial. After subsequent treatments the patient continues to improve in both motion and strength of his upper extremities. Through these treatments the patient has gone from little or no hope to the hope of being able to play golf this spring. "I will continue with the treatment in hope for a full recovery" Related story published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan http://www.coloradoan.com/news/stories/20040502/news/341738.html | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
